Meeting Minutes

The Engineering Committee met Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at The District Offices at 245 Main Street, Cromwell, Connecticut. Due to the lack of a quorum, the Committee did not call the meeting to order. Present were Committee Members - John Dunham - Committee Chair, and John Valengavich. Also present were Board Chairman - Bill Candelori, Executive Director - Brian W. Armet, District Engineer - Michelle Ryan, and John Braccio and Chris Pierce from Wright-Pierce.

1) Nitrogen Upgrade Bidding Phase Services

John Braccio of Wright-Pierce reviewed the 10 Bids received, the low bidder, C.H. Nickerson at $93,487,320, the other nine bids with the highest at $130,510,439, all bidder's required submittals, bid bonds, Nickerson's list of major subs, Nickerson's experience and qualifications and related information. Also reviewed were the draft award letter and the time schedule. W-P will amend the Draft Award letter to incorporate John Dunham's suggested changes.
